As the important traditional photography skills are fading, you need to develop new skills that will make your photography better and more advanced. Here are 5 simple yet effective tips for every modern photographer-

Understand The Software

One of the most important things to being a good photographer in the digital age is to start by choosing an excellent editing software. You need to learn every aspect of the software to fully understand how it can help you get better control over your images. When you know how to use the software in its fullest capacity, you will be able to create magic.

Learn The Basics

To be a photographer you must learn about the basics of photography like exposure, composition, depth of field, shutter speed, aperture value etc. This will allow you to get the most out of your DSLR camera. The fact is if you don't even know what your camera can do then you will surely have a hard time to get quality photos. Read the manual, find out what you can do with the device and play around with it. You will surely find out new things which you didn't know about earlier.

Be A Bit Flexible

It might be boring to take the same kind of photos repeatedly. It can also be frustrating to use only a particular type of tool and being unable to utilize new tools that are available. To continue taking great shots you need to keep improving the way you take photos. Hence you need to be aware of different issues and understand how these can affect your abilities as a photographer.

Look At Others’ Work

By studying the work of other prominent and expert photographers you can actually improve your own skills, knowledge and style. Make sure to spend adequate time checking out different photos taken by various reputed photographers and try to understand the process they followed to get a particular effect.

Practice Makes Perfect

Reading books on photography and checking out articles online and in magazines can undoubtedly help you learn a lot, but all this will mean nothing if you don't actually go out and take the best shots you can. It is only by using your camera and taking numerous photos, you will actually understand what works and what does not. Simply point your camera at your desired subject and click away. Find out the difference between the final image and what you visualized, then take another shot correcting the errors you made in the first one. The more photos you take, the more you will understand photography and the better photographer you will become.

Photography is about passion and how much excited you are about expressing yourself in an exciting and visual way. So simply pick up your camera, go out and click away.

Canon At DIFF

Several young media students, documentary producers, film enthusiasts, cinematographers, directors and filmmakers took part in the workshop. We encourage film talents from all walks of life to make the best use of their available resources and express themselves through the power of film. The DSLR camera workshop thus served as the ideal platform for strengthening the knowledge of films through hands-on training for many young film enthusiasts.”

Aiding The Growth Of Film Industry

Khaled Abol Naga, Egyptian film star and ambassador for Canon Cinematography, presented his films ‘From A to B’ and ‘Out of the Ordinary’ at the DIFF. he was recently honored with the “Best Male Actor” award at the National Egyptian Film Festival 2014 for his work in the independent film “Villa69”.

“The filmmaking industry in the Arab world is recording significant growth led by the potential offered by digital technology. Managing Partner at ConceptView Media, Frederico Beja, commented “Canon revolutionized the filmmaking world; the 5D Mark II was definitely a game changer when it first came out.” He further added “Saying that a DSLR is less of a film camera is a mistake; there are no better or worse cameras, there are just different cameras that fit different projects. Even with cheaper digital film cameras, there will always be a market for DSLR’s: they are great in low light, portable, easy and intuitive, and perfectly matchable with other bigger cameras when it comes to the editing room.”

About the use of Canon cameras in filmmaking, Beja said “When Canon first introduced video possibility in DSLR models, they knew they were shaping the market, and this made them ahead of the competition. They have the necessary know-how; they have been there since the start. Filmmaking is now accessible to more people, under different budgets. You can start making films with a $500 investment, 10 or 20 times less than 10 years ago.”

Empowering Everyone

All the DSLR cameras as well as the professional EOS line from Canon are equipped with digital filmmaking technology. The Canon EOS 7D is Good Buy for Amateur as well as Professional Photography

The high performance DSLR, Canon EOS 7D has been built with keeping the feedback from professional Canon users in mind. With loads of features in terms of 18mp, HD video, 100% viewfinder, 100-12,800 ISO, this reinvented camera possess every quality to be the best ever camera coming out from the closet of Canon.

The Canon EOS 7D digital SLR covers new ground in the array of Canon cameras. If you think that it is a replacement for 50D or 5D, it is not so. This camera can better be distinguished as an in-between model. Some Canon users see this camera as a direct competitor to D300s but others regard it as a successor to existing 50D, or even 40D. The Canon 7D is also good for those who are looking forward to move straight into a serious shooting system.

The most unique aspect of camera is that the direct feedback from users has been taken into consideration for the improvements, from previous models. Another interesting aspect is that the camera has been designed from the ground up. Though the results are not hugely different, some features and functions have been rethought or moved. You can buy Canon camera online, including the Canon 7D, at reasonable price.

Highlights of the Canon EOS 7D DSLR

18MP CMOS sensor

The Canon 7D packs a new 18MP CMOS sensor, with slight higher resolution, in comparison to the previous APS-C models. Keeping up with the Canon’s view to not overpopulating a sensor, which may in fact obstruct low-light performance, the sensor of this camera has a gapless micro lens construction to increase its sensitivity and to gather light more efficiently.

Dual DIGIC IV processors

The Canon 7D makes use of dual DIGIC IV processors for processing power. In addition, the eight channels outputting improves speed by letting the camera capture up to eight frames per second. With levels at ISO 6400, the processing power ably deals with noise levels.

63-zone dual layer arrangement

There is a 63-zone dual layer arrangement as the metering system to analyse iFCL (focus, colour and luminance information). The four configurations available with this camera are full Evaluative, Centre-weighted, partial, and Spot. Moreover, the autofocus of the camera makes use of 19 cross type points that are automatically or manually selected. For horizontal and vertical shooting, an array of set-ups can be chosen by the users.

Full manual exposure

With this camera, Canon offers full manual exposure at the time of shooting and full 1080p HD at 30, 25 or 24fps for capturing the class-leading video. If you go for lower resolutions, it is possible to capture the video at up to 60fps. Additionally, the H.264 QuickTime compression makes it easier to capture the video clips of up to 12 minutes length.

Overall, the Canon EOS 7D digital SLR seems to be a nice product for amateur as well as professional photography.

Photographer’s Jackets: Comfortable & Convenient

For professional nature, wildlife, landscape, street and architecture photographers, appropriate clothing and clothing accessories are extremely important. Comfort: Important element

A photographer must always wear clothes and clothing accessories that are extremely comfortable for the photographer. The material of vests and jackets should be very soft and non irritable. They should be dirt, water and stain resistant and photographers may be faced with unwanted situations in the most unpleasant surroundings, to get that perfect shot. Jobu Design has come up with Extreme Urban photography clothing accessories that make jackets with an outer covering of 100 percent polyester which is treated with DuPoint Teflon that helps the clothes remain clean.

Versatile clothing accessories suited for all weather conditions

These photographer jackets are designed in such a way that they can be worn as vests in summer and proper jackets in winter. The arms are removable, so if the sun is too warm, you don’t have to take off your jacket, just remove the arms. The jacket has many pockets that can hold a lot of photography gear like lenses, et al. By just removing the arms, you still have proper access to the pockets.

Padding that helps you to support the strap of your camera

The shoulder pads of the jacket with a surface made of rubber may look a little odd but the groove in it, will keep your camera strap safely on your shoulder, making the camera accessible at all times. So now you don’t have to wear the strap across your body to keep it from falling. However, if they do look unpleasant to you, you can very well detach them.

Best for nature or wildlife photographers

The material of the jackets and vests are made of a fabric that won’t make noise if anything is rubbed against it of if the material rubs against itself. This will cut out the noise and help you get the shots you want.

Helps carry gear for photography

Stealth Gear and Jobu Design have made photographer’s jackets and vest in a design that will help professional carry a back pack with comfort. The jackets and vests have added back support, to make things more comfortable.

Store photography gear with ease

Tired or carrying around bags full of memory cards, lenses, etc? Well, with specially designed photography wear, you can now say ‘bye’ to all your baggage woes. You no longer have to fish out camera gear from bags; you can carry them with ease in your jackets and vests. These vests and jackets have various pockets and zips that can safely contain lenses and memory cards. New Robotic System for Cameras from Jigabot

For photography enthusiasts who also want to be in the camera frame while taking pictures, there’s some great news. A robotic device will now help them capture various angles without manual handling. Does it get tiresome for you to constantly hold the heavy camera and stand in one place while shooting? Well, with a new innovation, all these problems will come to an end for many photographers.

Robots to help click a variety of snaps

Robots come in various forms, sometimes they are similar to humans and sometimes they help you complete day to day chores. Recently, a company, Jigabot, has come up with a robot system AIMes. This robotic innovation will help you mount cameras onto it which will allow the camera to track movement in shots. This brilliant innovation will help you stay in the frame rather than stand behind the camera. All you have to do is wear an IR sensor which is dedicated, called EmIT. This will allow the mount on the standard tripod, which is motorized, do all the work. This motorized mount is about the size of a small water bottle.

The robotic motorized mount can trace the sensor up to 150 feet away. The mount can tilt vertically at 120 degrees and rotate horizontally at 360 degrees. If you want to capture different angles at a huge set up, then the motorized mount will help you tremendously. The EmIT sensor is able to be traced by various AIMes.

The possibilities…

With the help of the AIMes, parents can take multiple pictures of their children playing around and they can actually be in the snap with their kids. Also, parents can use this to capture their children playing football as it can take multiply shots from various angles, even at a distance. Many professional sportspeople may also be interested in this robotic mount as it will help them capture their every move, so that they can be monitored for analysis later. This innovation will help sports professionals see how they’re playing, what exactly they’re doing, where they are going wrong and how they can better their game. A static camera is incapable of capturing every single movement, so this is a huge step in the field of photography.

The last note

It has been reported that the first version of the AIMes will need a proper line of sight to work, but the company, Jigabot, is already progressing on another version of the robotic mount that won’t require a line of sight. The innovation is to be launched commercially from June 2014 and the entire kit with the EmIT and various kinds of mounts is likely to cost around $299.

Technology and photography enthusiasts are definitely waiting with bated breath for the robotic mount to hit the stores.
